There is nothing better than drinking a good, clean, fresh chilled glass of draught beer.

The experience is generally enjoyed with friends, at your local bar, with all senses engaged. The conversations and environment surrounding you, the cold glass, the smell and taste, all contribute to the pleasure of drinking draught beer.

Only 15 – 20 years ago, our choices of draught beer were limited to 3 – 4 domestic brands. Beer systems were driven by instantaneous coolers and CO2, and kegs contained 18 gallons.

Draught beer dispensers flying high

Author: Hoshizaki Lancer / Published Date: 21 July 2010

Japanese airline, All Nippon Airways (ANA), has become the first airline capable of serving draught beer in-flight, all thanks to a new draught beer dispenser from Hoshizki.

Traditional draught beer dispensing equipment cannot be loaded into aircraft, as the pressure valves found in normal CO2 gas cylinders are prohibited under aviation laws.

Hoshizaki's development engineers solved this challenge by developing a dry-ice gas tank, capable of storing CO2 gas below 200kPa a breakthrough for draft beer dispensing systems.

Managing Director, Joe Thorp congratulated our parent company Hoshizaki on the development and commented that this is the sort of technical leadership that Hoshizaki Lancer's Australian and New Zealand customers have come to expect over the last 40 years.
