It’s still early days, but so far more than $32,000 has been banked by the enthusiastic U.G.L.Y. Bartenders in Queensland!
Participating Queensland bartenders are getting creative, and we’re seeing some fantastic fundraising ideas including:
- U.G.L.Y. inspired cocktails,
- Chest waxing,
- Car washes,
- Kissing booths,
- Cockroach racing,
- Pool comps,
- Theme nights,
Bowls days,
- U.G.L.Y. outfit competitions,
- and open mike nights.
All of these events are raising valuable awareness and funds to support the Leukaemia Foundation.
Ashley Ryan from The Leap Hotel in Mackay is currently Queensland's top fundraiser, having raised more than $3,900!
He is closely followed by Anita Ulett, from Enterprise Hotel, Charters Towers, and Madison Van Beuzekom, from Settlers Inn Hotel, Toowoomba.
You can see the full Queensland U.G.L.Y. Bartender leaderboard here.
Madison Van Beuzekom from the Settler’s Inn Hotel, Toowoomba recently held a successful car wash (pictured on right).
Mandi Steensen from the Beerwah Hotel ran a kissing booth on the Sunshine Coast, raising around $500 with support from some very affectionate patrons! (pictured on right).
Registrations are currently open for bartenders in all other states.
So if you would like to help out a great cause, sign up (or donate) here!
