Case Study

Adelaide Casino District Bar

Delivering the Sky City / Pirate Life Vision:

The District Bar is part of a $330 million expansion and refurbishment of the Adelaide Casino. This project also includes the addition of Eos by SkyCity, a five-star luxury hotel, four new restaurants, and two new bars.

Lancer was a critical partner in the refurbishment, delivering the entire beer system from the keg room through to the taps. Lancer also provided professional consultation for the initial design meetings, and in building the functional layout of cool rooms and bars.

Installing under Constraints:

The District Bar was dreamed up by Pirate Life in conjunction with the Casino projects team. Lancer was engaged to help design a system that replicated the look and feel of the Pirate Life Brewery, modified with custom founts featuring additional taps to meet the requirement for a faster speed of service.

To add another degree of complexity, this project took place within a heritage listed building, that housed an operating casino.

Lancer partnered with Beer Dispensing Services to complete the onsite installation once the custom-made parts were ready. The team at BDS did a great job installing the project to the highest standard, on time and proactively navigating the various site constraints along the way given its heritage listing.

Outcomes:
The feedback from the customer following the install is that Lancer has hit the brief perfectly and provided an environment that captures the essence of the Pirate Life Brewery.

This new venue has proven to be very popular both with people who are familiar with the Pirate Life look and those who are first time visitors.
