Lancer’s expertise in providing solutions for microbreweries is growing.

Having previously manufactured and supplied draught beer dispensing equipment, beer dispense systems, chillers, beer taps and gas safety equipment for Mash Brewing in Rockhampton, Green Beacon Brewing Company in Brisbane and Moo Brew at Mona in Tasmania we have now also installed equipment for Newstead Brewing Company.

Newstead Brewing Co is labelled as Brisbane’s ‘oldest new craft brewery and bar’ owned by Michael Conrad, Mark Howes and his family.

The owners have turned an old bus depot/art gallery into a brewery, a kitchen and a Bottle-o enabling visitors to dine in or take-away.

With most of the original elements of the venue still in place, the combination of a bus depot and the artistic flare gives the site a tranquil, comfortable vibe with lashings of industrial robustness.

Operator Michael Conrad chose us as the supplier of the beer dispense system, due to our superior response and solutions to his needs.

Solution

Lancer completed all of the engineering for the heat loading requirements of the glycol system and the beer dispensing system for the brewery.

We supplied the draught beer dispensing system which dispenses eight products kegged by the brewery and four products direct from the serving tanks.

A variety of ice cold beer is poured though a Lancer 12 Tap Zenith Goalpost fount and the system is cooled by a Siberian Elite Tank. An additional Siberian Chiller cools the glycol reticulation to all of the tanks.

Plentiful clear hard ice is provided by a Hoshizaki KM-125A Ice Maker which produces up to 128kg of crescent ice a day and has a 55kg ice storage bin. The entire venue has high quality water filtration and this has a distinct advantage when making ice.

A 6 Bottle Wine by the Glass Dispenser lets patrons enjoy a range of top class wines by the glass.
