Fortress approached the Lancer team in Sydney with plans to expand the Fortress brand by building a second venue in Sydney’s bustling city centre. The project involved a sophisticated 40-tap beer dispensing system spread across multiple bars and levels, with additional requirements for the installation of a cool room on the second floor. Given the space constraints and unique technical challenges of the venue, this installation demanded a high level of customization and careful planning.

To overcome these challenges, Lancer collaborated with their long-term partner, Rod Brito from Channon Refrigeration, to execute the project. After a thorough site visit, it was clear that the installation would require significant customization. The collaborative effort between Lancer, Fortress, and Channon Refrigeration resulted in a state-of-the-art beer dispensing system that addressed both the technical requirements and aesthetic considerations.

The system design included:

1. Custom-Designed Founts: Four custom-designed founts were installed, each with a unique finish (antique bronze and high-polished stainless steel). The constrained ceiling space and complex ceiling layout meant that each fount needed to be tailored to fit the specific requirements of each bar, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics were preserved.
2. Comprehensive System: The 40 tap, 10 product beer system also includes:
   • Lancer Siberian chiller for optimal cooling.
   • Lancer chiller plates to maintain the ideal temperature.
   • Lancer fobs, with manifolds to ensure smooth beer delivery to all bars.
   • Lancer beer pump system to maintain consistent flow.
   • AS5034 compliant gas system with Logico2 monitoring for safety and efficiency.
   • Automatic beer line cleaning/washout system to maintain hygiene and product quality.

Through effective collaboration and problem-solving, the project was completed on time with precision. The result was a highly functional, aesthetically pleasing, and reliable beer dispensing system that exceeded the client’s expectations. Fortress, Channon Refrigeration, and Lancer worked seamlessly together to ensure a flawless installation, which ultimately led to a very satisfied customer.
