Overview
Cloudland is a new $20 million night club built by the Bichel Family who also own the adjacent hotel in the Fortitude Valley precinct.
This location is by far the largest night time entertainment region in Brisbane and continues to expand each year.
Our brief was to supply ice making equipment that would produce 1000kgs of ice every 24 hours, in a limited space alongside existing Manitowoc units that were labouring.
Solution
Firstly, to evaluate the location for the space and working environment for our units. This was conducted with a representative of All So Cool and Senior Management from the owners of the venue along with our State Manager.
Our proposal was to supply 3KM 1300 units on larger than normal ice storage bins. Two of the KM 1300 ice makers to be doubled stacked on a B 1500 ice bin the other on a B 900 ice bin.
Critical to the success of this proposal was the crescent ice we were asking the venue to use. However this was overcome with samples and Testimonials from other venues now using our ice. The value of this order was $26K .
As well as the ice machines, we also installed a draught wine system that dispenses both white and red wine from 1000 litre bladders to 12 taps throughout the large venue.
Results
The ice machines have performed to our expectations and to those of the venue and the supplier who purchased the units from us on behalf of Cloudland. We are currently quoting on an ice cuber (28mm ice) for a specific bar within this venue to compliment their existing units
