Overview
The Beresford in Darlinghurst was one of inner Sydney’s classic pubs, just off the famous Oxford Street strip and home to many live bands and aspiring musicians.
After being sold in 2003, the pub sat empty for two years whilst the owners designed and created the concept for the rebuild – they had big ideas.
The overall plan was to create one of the most luxurious hotels in eastern Sydney, with the best of materials and equipment.
Solution
Once the concept was finalised, realising the build was the next challenge and Thomson Refrigeration using Lancer draught beer systems and Hoshizaki Ice makers were chosen. TRS supplied, conducted the design and installed the systems, resulting in one of the best systems around today.
Results
The most recent result is that the Hotel has been purchased by Justin Hemmes and Merivale. It is clear that one of the reasons for his choosing the venue was for the quality of it’s fitout and systems and the fact that very little money needed to be spent.
