Carl’s Jr was established 70 years ago in Southern California, and began its international expansion in the 2000s. Today there are 1,262 Carl’s Jr Restaurants around the world. One of the things that marks Carl’s Jr out is its commitment to ‘partial’ table service, enabling customers to order at the counter then receive their food (and place additional orders) while seated.

Lancer was approached by Coca-Cola Amatil to come up with soft drink dispensing options for a new QSR coming to New Zealand. Carl’s Jr required a high speed small footprint solution for the crew serve drink station at the drive through and an attractive easy to use solution with a wide flavour range for the self serve dispenser in the dining room.

Solution

For the drive through Lancer supplied an 8 valve IBD with a 30inch footprint together with a Hoshizaki KMD ice maker. For the self serve dining room Lancer supplied a 12 valve 44inch IBD with 2 ice dispensers supplying plenty of clear hard ice from the Hoshizaki KMD ice maker. In addition we supplied all back of house equipment to support the soft drink dispensers.

Result

Carls Jr and Coca-Cola Amatil are very happy with the product offering that Lancer supplied. The IBD and Hoshizaki KMD are performing above expectations.
