Overview
Restaurant chain KFC in New Zealand has changed their official soft drinks supplier to Coca-Cola as part of their transformation program, requiring a huge changeover of beverage dispensing equipment across the country.
Restaurant Brands New Zealand, the country’s largest fast food operator confirmed the exclusive deal with Coca-Cola.
Coca-Cola worked with Lancer to design, supply and update all beverage dispensing equipment and syrups in over 100 KFC stores across New Zealand.
Restaurant Brands required a very fast turnaround time so that all stores across the country would start serving Coca-Cola soft drinks at the same time at the beginning of the 2016 New Year.
Solution
Lancer was thrilled to be able to assist Coca-Cola by supplying new Soft Drink Superchillers and associated ancillary equipment.
Lancer engineered a brand new soft drink dispensing tower for over 100 KFC stores, and manufactured 280 of these at the Adelaide manufacturing facility.
Working to a tight timeline, all of the equipment was shipped to New Zealand in time for the New Year’s changeover.
The Cornucopia Tower enables KFC to pour eight standard flavours through portion controlled valves from a modern looking tower.
The unique MVU platform will allow KFC to introduce additional flavour varieties in the future without the need to replace the tower.
It’s LED illuminated panels on the front and side of the tower to make this dispenser an eye catcher.
The Cornucopia tower is a multi-tasking unit with a sleek appearance, capable of pouring not only eight different base beverages but also water and four flavour shots.
Lancer Soft Drink Tower Dispensers are a great way to ensure a consistent quality beverage and is the best way to provide branding and point of sale advertising to give your consumers choice of flavours.
Result
Lancer assisted CCA technicians in changing equipment over throughout NZ for the first four days of 2016 with the work being done during the night so as not to affect trading.
The Cornucopia Tower is a success and the installations across the country were carried out within the fast rollout time which was requested.
“Thank you for your support, we have set a high standard and without the support of the Hoshizaki Lancer team that might have been much harder to achieve.”
“We felt it is very important to get support in the roll out and have a company that was close at hand to us in New Zealand.”
“We can all be proud of what we have achieved, so my sincere thanks for your excellent support, it was the key to our success” – Terry Burbidge – National Equipment Services Manager Coca-Cola Amatil (NZ) Ltd.
